History

In 2003, during the early stages of our current economic duress, Jay Welter was laid off from a promising IT career.  Already with more than ten years experience in a myriad of Information Technology Systems, Mr. Welter took on a handful of customers, assisting with their home and small office computing needs.

Necessity

Welter saw a growing segment of computer users; from young students needing a PC for online coursework, to families using computers to communicate with family members across the world, to the growing amount of users of social media sites like facebook & twitter.

Many small businesses have cropped up out of all the laid-off professionals just like himself.  These sole propietorships with their lean budgets must use technology efficiently to cultivate the growth of their budding enterprises.

Response

The Computer Guy fills a role for all of these individuals; to advise and support them and their computing infrastructure, for a reasonable fee and on an as-needed basis.

A Microsoft Partner and Certified Professional, The Computer Guy is continuously researching evolving technology trends to provide customers with sound and accurate advice to aide them in their technology investment.

The Computer Guy is a registered Microsoft System Builder, offering single-user desk or lap-top computers to complete turn-key Network systems.

We build what we support so we know exactly what’s going on with our systems which reduces down-time for the customer.  Plus, we offer remote support solutions, so most problems are solved without a site visit.
